BLOCK OUT

Water Repellent and Protector

BLOCK OUT is a water based, deep penetrating, siloxane water repellent which leaves surfaces with a natural appearance. BLOCK OUT forms a transparent, vapor permeable, water repellent barrier across the surface of stone. It internally seals the substrate, which allows water vapor to breathe out of the stone, while preventing moisture from penetrating the surface.

BLOCK OUT inhibits algae, mildew, and efflorescence while protecting from water damage and corrosion. BLOCK OUT penetrates immediately, deeply, and effectively, providing a long-lasting protective barrier. Surfaces treated with BLOCK OUT will retain a natural appearance with no shine or gloss. For interior and exterior use.

FOR USE ON: Concrete, Shell Stone, Marble, Travertine, Limestone, Brick, Grout, Cement, Clay Pavers, Saltillo, Unglazed Ceramic Tile, Terracotta, and most other porous stone or concrete surfaces.

SURFACE PREPARATION:

Always be sure the surface is clean, dry, and free from any dirt, grease, oil, wax, or other contaminants. Read the entire label before using. Use only as directed. Always test on a small piece of material or a small inconspicuous area to determine suitability. Ensure the area is well ventilated. Ideal surface temperature should be between 60°F and 80°F. Product works best when it is the first substance applied to the surface, insuring proper penetration.

COVERAGE:

For very porous surfaces: 200-300 sq. ft./gallon

For average density surfaces: 250-350 sq. ft./gallon

For very dense surfaces: 500 sq. ft./gallon.

APPLICATION:

BLOCK OUT can be applied using a sprayer, foam roller, paint roller, flat mop, or brush, allowing you to choose the best tool for your specific application. Be sure the surface is clean, dry, and free from any dirt, grease, oil, or wax. Apply BLOCK-OUT liberally, saturating the surface. Spread evenly and uniformly. Any sealer which has not soaked in after 15 minutes should be spread further or wiped up. Do not allow sealer to puddle and dry or a white residue may be left on the surface. Generally, only one heavy coat is necessary, as after 15-20 minutes, the product will begin repelling itself.

FOR SEALING GROUT JOINTS: Apply to joint with small brush or squeeze bottle. Allow to soak 10-15 mins. Wipe off excess from tile surface. Do not leave voids and puddles. BLOCK OUT cures completely in 24 hours.
